Daily Chips

Home to small bouts of inspiration that I find in the Word.
A post every day to every other day (more likely to be the latter).

Never fails to bear fruit

Not many of you should become teachers, my fellow believers, because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly.

~ James 3:1

“Not many...” — this actually kind of gets me inspired to become a teacher, because if this is true, then surely God will pursue my being made completely righteous and blameless as to not lead his flock — that he loves so very much — astray.
Imagine the immense power we have in the tongue! Thank you, Lord for blessing me with a tongue — may you use it according to Your will and don’t allow me to lead anyone astray. Bless me with words of spiritual songs, hymns, psalms, encouragements, scripture — so that I may be Spirit filled to bless others and lead / guide them in truth!

James 3:13-18

Lord, lead me into leading a good life — full of good deeds performed in humility — full of the wisdom that you have blessed me with — your wisdom — that you may be glorified. Help me to always catch myself whenever I may feel envy or harbour selfish ambition. Lead me out of that Lord and NEVER allow me to deny the Truth even if I am in fear, for You are my Shepherd. Bless me with Your heavenly wisdom that is pure, peace loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy, good fruit, impartial, and sincere.

Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness.

~ James 3:18

They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream... and never fails to bear fruit.

~ Jeremiah 17:8
