If anyone, then, knows the good they ought to do and doesn’t do it, it is sin for them.
You have condemned and murdered the innocent one, who was not opposing you.
I may misunderstand this, but I feel that these two verses could belong together. That if you are rich and live in luxury, that you have the power to help and know the good you ought to do but neglect those in need, it is the same as condemning or murdering them. It is a sin.
As you know, we count as blessed those who have persevered. You have heard of Job’s perseverance and have seen what the Lord finally brought about. The Lord is full of compassion and mercy.
Look ahead to the Lord's coming no matter what circumstance He has brought you to. "...blessed (are) those who have persevered." Think about what Job had to persevere through! From a human standpoint, I feel even with the end result, I don't think I would consider myself blessed. Being in the Kingdom though, I realise that even in the suffering there is great blessing.
The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.
